Arriving to Gdynia by ferry


Port of Gdynia is the Polish seaport located on the western coast of Gdansk Bay Baltic Sea in Gdynia, near to Gdansk. Port of Gdynia was founded in 1926. In 2008 it was second in containers on the Baltic sea.

Stena Line operates ferry service between Gdynia and Karlskrona, Sweden. The trip takes 12.5 hours and costs ~EUR50.

Finnlines operates ferry service between Gdynia and Helsinki, Finland. The trip takes 21 hours and costs ~EUR55 (low season) or ~EUR80 (high season). If you want to get to town from Gdynia ferry terminal, take bus number 150 to Gdynia Glowna, the main train station in Gdynia (from where there are commuter trains to Gdansk). A bus ticket costs 2.8 PLN, and a taxi to the centre should come to around 20 PLN. For a return trip bus number 570 will take you back to the terminal from the railway station in 7 minutes for just 3,8 PLN. If you arriving by car you should follow the signs for Centrum which will bring you to the centre of Gdynia in about 10 minutes. Alternatively look for signs for Gdansk if that is where you are heading.
